Welcome to Richmondshire Ramblers

We are a friendly group of walkers who are always pleased to welcome new members and visitors to the area. Being based in Richmond we have access to some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK including the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Teesdale, the North Yorkshire Moors and the Howgill Fells. Most of our walks start from a point less than one hour's drive from Richmond and many are considerably closer than this. We offer walks ranging from 5 to 14 miles throughout the year. Ramblers helps everyone, everywhere, enjoy walking and protects the places we all love to walk. Ramblers is the only charity dedicated to looking after paths and green spaces, leading walks, opening up new places to explore and encouraging everyone to get outside and discover how walking boosts health and happiness.
Anyone may join us on a walk but with the expectation that they become a member of Ramblers after three walks. If you are new to walking, you are still welcome, but please make sure you are properly equipped to walk safely and enjoyably. There is lots of advice available on this website, or contact the leader of the walk you are interested in.
For further information about joining Ramblers, please contact our Membership Secretary via email ( click here) or ring 07761 428 231 .
